Alexander City Alabama Monday August 9, 2010

Well, we are here in Alexander City for 2 days as on the way from Hogansville in a little town called New Site on highway 22, we blew a tire on the front of the car. They didn't have one around here to replace the spare, so we have to wait for one to come from Birmingham tomorow. It gave us time to rest from the heat and get the laundry done. Had dinner at a Ruby Tuesdays. It was good...a nice salad bar. A wonderful policeman helped Ed change the tire in the parking lot of the police department in New Site. We will have to send them a thank you card and maybe a donation for a pizza party. That was a blessing because Triple A could not get there for over an hour and at 9:30 a.m. it was already 93 degrees. It's fine if you can be in the air conditioning, but outside is a bit much!!!! Here is one picture we took in Hogansville.....Dorothy's home town. The home is for sale by the way and the church....well, they are just everywhere and they are so well kept and beautiful it is amazing!
