Wednesday August 11, 2010 Pine Bluff Arkansas

Today was a travel day and we started out by getting lost, which Ed hates, but we finally got on the correct road and arrived in Pine Bluff Arkansas by 6:45 p.m. I have posted several of the sights we saw along the way. We crossed the wide Mississippi River and one of these photos shows one of the lovely homes whose family has it as their back yard. How really fortunate. Also, the old bridge and the new one we crossed over. The homes are beautiful and the people are really gracious. We had a little Arby's lunch with a coupon we acquired and dinner was Church's Chicken. Sure does beat Popeyes and KFC!!!! We are at a La Quinta Inn and it's very nice, for $51.00 we get a full hot breakfast in the morning before heading off the Bill Clinton's Presidential Library. The temperature ranged from 93 to 102 all day. I felt sorry for the poor workmen who were toiling out in that heat to repair the roadways along the way. Adios and ciao!!!

Sounds like a lovely time. Glad the Chief of Polie came by to help youchange the tire. We are home from our trip to LA. Had a nice time, we walked everywhere, and I did not sleep well. Saw the World of Color at Disney, Legoland, Santa Cruz beach and Boardwalk, and the Monterey Bay aquarium. All very interesting and fun. Got my grade back from my last class, got a B+. Oh well! ILY, T
