Today we set out to see the Aerospace Museum at the Calgary Airport. It was quite impressive...nice stories on videos throughout the museum and a lot to look at too. The wedding dress on the mannequin was made from a used parachute during WWII as silk was in short supply, so the betrothed used his parachute and later on it was used to make Baptismal dresses for all their children. The streets surrounding the area are all named for famous Canadian Airmen from WWII and their stories are inside both on videos and on display boards. DID you know that Alexander Graham Bell was a pioneer in aviation? We all know about the telephone, but he did an airplane too, right here in Canada. Afterwarads, we had early dinner at A&W and now are on our way to Mass. Glad to see that Pres. Obama retracted his misstatements about the Cambridge policeman. What ever happened to just obeying the policeman when given an order? What a unique concept!!! The priest at the church we attended was giving his last sermon before being transferred after 8 years, so it was quite emotional...he was Russian.
