This morning we started out at 8:45 a.m. and drove an hour and stopped for breakfast at Marie Calenders in Eureka. Then we drove up 101 to Richardson Grove and stopped at the visitors center and got a bear picture. He is cute. Then on to Humboldt Marsh Beach State Park and sat on the beach and played Farkle. Afterward we drove some more...the weather and sights are beautiful. Then stopped at Whaleshead Beach State Park in Oregon and played Dominos ...the road going in is very very bumpy, but Ed drove slow. We had to walk down a gravel path to get to a table where we could sit and still see the ocean. Then afterward we stopped at a Myrtlewood shop and got Rick and Anna a myrtlewood clock for their wedding. Then on to Bandon had a DQ cone. That was yummy. On to Coos Bay where we are staying at Super 8 and had dinner at a MacDonalds. Our room is new.....the motel has only been open 10 days. I got sunburned. Not bad.
