Today we started out about 10 a.m. and drove to Wells Glen Provincial Park to look at the waterfalls. The lady that did my hair said that they are better than Niagara Falls and we would see elk, deer, moose, bear and eagles. Well...........................................................................
Let me just say that she hasn't seen Niagara Falls, obviously, but none-the-less, they are awe-inspiring and beautiful. The last one on todays blog is Spahats Falls, the second to last is mushbowl rapids/falls and the third is Helmcken Falls. You will see Ed looking over at mushbowl and standing near the fence at Spahats. We then had A&W for lunch and drove north toward Jasper, stopped along the way and entertained a family of chipmonks who would not leave us alone....they scampered all about and one actually stood up on his hind legs and squawked at us for a good 15 minutes. They were so cute, but I think they had babies and sure didn't want us fussing with them, although a couple came within reaching distance, probably looking for food. They had a whole community in the park there. We are in Valemount tonight at a Super 8. The weather was hot today.....76-97 along the way. AND we didn't see one elk, deer, moose, bear or eagle. Darn!
