This spot is the one time "grassy knoll" where a 2nd sniper is suspected to have hidden. It was never proved however 95% of the people who are in the know feel there was more than one shooter. There are 1.5-2 million visitors to this site yearly, so they have been unable to preserve the grass as it just gets trampled down.
